Sri Narasimha Saraswati
Second incarnation of Sripada — the radiant Guru of Ganagapura
In the 13th century, as a result of the devoted worship of Shiva during Pradosha time as preached by Sripadavallabha, Ambika, a resident of Kuruvapura, in her next life becomes the mother of Narasimha Saraswathi, the next incarnation of Sripada. Sripada himself was born to the couple Amba and Madhava, who were engaged in the worship and meditation of Sadashiva, in a place called Karanja, as Narahari with the birth name Saligrama deva. Immediately after his birth, he chants Omkara. Without uttering anything other than Omkara, only on the day of upanayanam later, at the age of eight, he chants the vedas. After receiving bhiksha, alms from the mother, he preaches self knowledge to his parents and takes to the path of renunciation. In many places in India, by the grace of Narasimha Sararswati, divine padukas are installed. Amongst them Ganagapura, Narasobawadi, Kumasi, Kadaganji etc are very famous. During his incarnation, through various remarkable miracles, he brought the mass of atheists into the path of righteousness. Residing in Ganagapura for about 30 years, pleased by the service of the devotees, he bestowed his nirguna paduka there. In 1380, in Kadalivanam of Srishaila, he ended his incarnation.
